Robert "Bob" Franklin Harris, a history buff who has spent many years working in government as an Aide to U.S. Senators Lawton Chiles of Florida and John Glenn of Ohio. Harris worked on the subcommittee on Federal Spending Practice, U. S. Senate; he served as deputy staff director for governmental affairs, then vice president for legislative affairs for the U. S. Postal Service, Washington, DC.
Harris has been inducted into Florida A&M University Arts & Science Gallery of Distinction and Archives Hall of Flame, Sports Hall Flame and Florida Track Coaches Association Track and Field Hall of Flame.
This former U. S. Army Captain and Civics high school teacher, graduated from Florida A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree.
